Yes,kumaoun is a real garden in march to june..till clear weather of sept-october.The best place tp stay is the KMVNL's hydakhan temple rest house.modern stylish great location to see snow peaks in sep oct...you can just trek down the villages or go to sitlakhet or chaubatia gardens to see the variety of flowers plants....the road to kausani via someshwar is of verdant beauty..you see colorful fields in million shades of green as you climb up and down..no doubt the army's Kumaoun regiment selected this place for its hq..

i really enjoyed the post with pics, Ranikhet is a favourite destination for peace seekers, i had visited it back in nineties - now it must have changed - the virginity of the place enchanted me at that time ... yours experience must be more rich and wonderful as you spent your childhood there...thanks for taking back to memory lane...
